A new working paper by Suzanne Harrison and Bowman Heiden is now available on SSRN entitled Improving Diversity and Inclusivity Measurements: A Competitiveness Perspective. The paper describes the key differences between measuring diversity and inclusivity as well as unveiling several major flaws with current metrics. Finally, it advocates for an Inclusivity First approach to address both diversity and competitiveness, which is a fundamental goal of good leadership.

The paper will be published as a chapter in the forthcoming book by Oxford University Press: “Inclusive Innovation in the Age of AI and Big Data”, edited by Daryl Lim and Peter Yu.

@Suzanne Harrison and @Bowman Heiden, in partnership with @iDii and @IIPSJ, will present their latest research on inclusivity metrics at the upcoming @WIPO IPGAP Global Research Experts Meeting on Improving Gender and Diversity in IP and Innovation (25-26 November). Special thanks to @Lateef Mtima for his leadership and collaboration.
